How it works

From the papers to the last day of the case

Five steps, the same for a plaintiff and a defendant.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Send the papers

Use the form or call. Give us the names of everyone involved first, so we can check for a conflict before you share any details.

  2. 02

    Step 2: A first look

A partner reads what you have and meets with you for 90 minutes. A few days later you get a written note: your options, the risks and a budget.

  3. 03

Step 3: Start the case, or don't

Go ahead with the case, or stop at the note. If a lawsuit costs more than it could return, the note says so.

  4. 04

    Step 4: The case runs

One monthly fee, a status report at the end of each month, and a named lawyer who calls you back.

  5. 05

Step 5: Mediation, settlement or trial

Many cases settle at mediation. If yours is headed to trial, we quote the trial days in writing when the date is set.

Who you'll talk to

Every case has a partner who answers for it and an associate who works it day to day. You'll have both their direct lines and their email, and the monthly report comes from the partner.
