Two partners and an associate on every case

Each case has a partner who answers for it and an associate who works it day to day.

  • Liesl Ruehlmann, in glasses and a dark top, smiling against a pale wall

    Liesl Ruehlmann

    Founding partner

Contract and partner disputes. Set up the firm's monthly billing after writing hourly invoices at a larger firm.

  • Otis Dunleavy, in a light blue shirt, smiling against a white wall

Construction and insurance coverage. Studied civil engineering before law, so he reads the drawings first.

  • Kai Strobel, in a white shirt and pale tie, against a light grey backdrop

    Kai Strobel

    Associate

Runs discovery and depositions on most of the firm's cases, and writes the monthly status reports.

A small firm, staffed on purpose

A flat monthly fee only works if the right person does each piece of work. Partners write the strategy, the briefs and the mediation statements. Kai and our paralegal run discovery. Nobody learns your case on your money.
