Contract disputes between businesses

A supplier stops delivering, a customer stops paying, a buyer says the goods were wrong. We bring and defend breach-of-contract claims for companies and their owners, in court, and in arbitration when the contract calls for it.

Cases we take

  • Unpaid invoices and broken supply agreements

  • Non-compete and non-solicitation claims

  • Asset purchase and earn-out disputes

  • Arbitration clauses, enforced or resisted

What a contract case covers

All of it is inside the monthly fee. Costs paid to others are billed at cost.

  • The contract, read first

Before any letter goes out, we read the agreement and every amendment for notice rules, fee clauses and where a case has to be filed.

  • Discovery around the paper trail

Emails, purchase orders and invoices usually decide these cases, so we ask for them early and in a form we can search.

  • A number before mediation

We put a settlement range in writing before the mediation day, with how we got to it.

Contract disputes: common questions

We were just served. What do we do first?

Write down the date you were served and send us the papers that day. The time to answer is short and set by court rules, and missing it can lose the case by default.

The contract says the loser pays the lawyers. Does that change the fee?

No. You pay the same monthly fee. If the court orders the other side to pay your lawyers, that money comes back to you.

Can we stop work under the contract while we argue?

Sometimes, and sometimes that is the breach. Ask before you stop paying or delivering.

Got a demand letter or a complaint?

A first look gets the papers read by a partner and a written budget for the case.
